The promoters of Smeltech Carbons have been engaged in graphite mining since 1936 and were the first manufacturers of graphite and silicon carbide crucibles in India. Together with its sister concern The Patna Estate Super Graphite Products, produces over 300 different graphite products — most of them customised to the exact requirements of its clients.

Now headed into its fourth generation, the company is backed by an advanced R&D facility, modern management and quality systems, and a dedicated sales team serving more than 15 countries.
